CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick Review & Swatches

Covergirl Lip Perfection Fairytale

Covergirl Fairytale LipstickCG Fairtytale

“Covergirl LipPerfection is a bright color that can transform your day and your lips. Enriched with a silk moisturizing complex, our formula helps sustain moisture levels and helps create soft, smooth, beautiful lips in just 7 days.”

I am in love with this lipstick! The claims that Covergirl makes are dead on! It’s a great formula, and I have never  felt a lipstick so soft. It feels like velvet when you are applying it. Feels like your applying a lip balm, without the greasiness. It feels like heaven!

I got it in the shade “Fairytale”. Fairytale is very pigmented and lasts for a LONG time. Even after I washed off my makeup at night it left a stain on my lips.  I wasn’t expecting this to be a long-lasting formula because that’s not one of CG’s claims but it was a great bonus!

The packaging on this lipstick is also great. The only thing that I can find wrong, is the shade at the bottom of the lipstick is a little off, so you may want to keep that into consideration when purchasing it. If you do buy it make sure you purchase it from a store that will let you exchange it if your unhappy with your shade selection. I however, love the shade I picked out and I am definitely purchasing other shades.

Mally Cosmetics Eyeshadow Review & Swatches

On a previous post I did a review on the Mally Cancellation Concealer, which I wasn’t too happy with but one product that I do like is her eyeshadow in Brownstone.

The packaging is great, it is a light green color with a snake skin pattern with a mirror on the inside. I love the color and the texture of it. It is a dark cool frosty brown that I think would look great on a lot of different skin tones and compliment any eye color.  It does, however have a bit of fallout but easy to clean up. It is goes on smoothly and has great pigmentation. It is easy to blend and does not crease even without a primer or base.

Got Naked!! Urban Decay Naked Palette Review

Urban Decay Naked Palette with brush

Last Fall Urban Decay released the infamous Naked Palette. It is so hard to find, that some people are actually selling it for $90 on Ebay!! I finally got mine from Sephora just about over a month ago, and I’m happy to report that it was worth the wait!

This palette has 12 shades. Eight of them are more on the natural side and four of them are a little darker, perfect for those smokey eyes. Naked has 6 permanent shades, 5 new shades and one repromote.  When it was first released it came with double ended liner with Zero and Whiskey and a travel size Primer Potion. Urban Decay changed that, and mine came with a brush instead of the eyeliner.

There is not one shade that I am disappointed with. They’re all very pigmented and have little to no fall out. If you are new to make up or a makeup veteran this should be in your collection. It has the perfect shades for brides and engagement pictures.  If you can find it, GET IT!! Maybe two if you can!!

Urban Decay Naked Palette Swatches

Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog

Urban Decay Naked Palette Swatches

Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Dark Horse, Toasted, Hustle

Urban Decay Naked Palette Swatches

Smog, Dark Horse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal

Before I even got the chance to swatch it I used it on a client for her Senior Prom. I loved the way it looked on her. She wanted her eyes to be the main focus and stand out, and I think she looked gorgeous! (Most beautiful skin I have ever seen!!!)

If it is in stock , you can purchase this at Sephora, Ulta, and Urban Decay in store or online for $44.

Urban Decay All Nighter Spray Review

Urban Decay All Nighter Spray

From Urban Decay: “Your makeup will last 16 hours! Perfect for all skin types, this ultra-fine mist holds makeup for brides, dancers, and ladies who just like looking GOOD!

While at a recent trip to Sephora I noticed the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray and it peeked my interest. I have been using MAC Fix + since it first came out, but I don’t usually do it on a daily basis. I do like Fix + so I wanted to try All Nighter to see if it would be better. You know we’re all always looking out for the next best thing!

I have really oily skin and in a couple of hours my makeup usually looks like a big mess, especially in the hot humid weather we have here in Texas.  When you have oily skin, your makeup starts to shift and tends to oxidize your foundation, powder, blush and bronzers, not such a hot look! All Nighter claims to work on ALL skin types and last 16 hours. According to their site, ” it has a patent pending Temperature Control Technology that makes the weightless mist so powerful and sets it far above the competition. Your makeup won’t melt when it’s warm and humid or become dehydrated when it’s cold and humid. Yes,  it actually lowers the temperature 0f your makeup to hold foundation, eyeshadow, blush, and concealer in place.”  Sounds like an answer to ALL my prayers!

So, what did I think of the Urban Decay All Nighter Spray?….

First off, it is oil and paraben free, which means it won’t cause breakouts.   It has a clean scent that is not overwhelming. However, I do find it to feel a bit sticky or tacky as it’s drying. The first time I tried it I applied it under my makeup, something I do with Fix +.  WARNING!! Do not do this if your going out in public! My makeup wore off faster than if I was not wearing a finishing spray! It even made me oilier, after a couple of hours my skin looked extremely shiny, even in places where I normally don’ t get oily.

The next time I tried it I applied it over my makeup, and I was still a big greasy mess. It took a little longer than when I applied before my makeup, but still it was a couple of hours. By the end of the night my face was shiny after touching up my face with powder three times and my blush was almost completely gone.  The worst part of my trial was that I even tried it out over my MAC Pro Longwear and my face was shiny. With MAC Pro Longwear I get just a bit of a glow not shine after a few hours of wearing it. So, 16 hours?! Not so much!!

From other reviews that I have read on other blogs and on Makeup Alley, a lot of people like this. Unfortunately for me it was a miss. I will not repurchase and I’ll stick to Fix+.
