Mally Cosmetics Cancelletion Concealer System Review

I’m not sure if  many of you have heard of Mally Roncal. She has been a makeup artist for celebrities such  as Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Thalia and Ashlee Simpson. She released her own makeup line in 2005 and it is sold on QVC and I believe the only retail store you can purchase her line is at Henri Bendel in NYC. If you’ve never shopped on QVC, it is really simple and if you’re unhappy with your purchase it’s very easy to return. Her major claim for her makeup line is that it is really long lasting. I haven’t seen many reviews on her products and since I do have a few of her products I thought I could share my experience with this line.

One of her most popular products is the Cancellation Concealer. On her site:

“This is a fabulous face duo. The creamy concealer never cakes, providing full coverage for dark circles, small flaws, or blemishes. Follow with translucent setting powder for a look that lasts. Comes packaged in a convenient, keep-it-together pouch with a double ended brush.”

First off I really like the way the product is packaged. It comes in a cute light pink pouch with everything you need to create a bright eyed well rested look. It’s a two step system, first you apply the concealer with the brush provided and I then I usually use my ring finger to blend it out. Then you use the other end of the brush to apply the translucent powder which brightens your under eye. The double ended brush itself is great. Both ends are soft and they do not shed.

The texture of the concealer is very creamy and blends beautifully on your skin.. The coverage is full and the consistency reminds me of MAC Studio concealer, my favorite. What sets it apart from other concealers is the setting powder. It is supposed to keep the concealer lasting all day with out creasing and accentuating the fine lines some of us have around our eyes. But unfortunately I don’t think it lives up to it’s claims. After a while it does settle under my eye, accentuating my fine lines, and it makes the skin under my eyes look really dry! On the site it does have a lot of positive feed back but it didn’t work for me, and I will continue to use my HG concealer MAC Studio Finish!

See the fine lines? This is shortly after applied!

It is available in four different shades: Fair, Light/Medium, Tan, and Rich. I bought the Light/Medium shade and it is the perfect shade for me.

Have you tried this concealer or any of her other products?
